Group runs.... |
|||||||||||||||||||||
Informal group runs are held every day throughout the year at Rockland Lake State Park. Group numbers and distances vary from day to day, but workouts generally are 45 minutes to an hour. Runners of various levels participate regularly, and newcomers (of all levels) are always welcome.Click here for maps of popular running routes at Rockland Lake |

| Above runs are at Rockland Lake, and start at Parking Lot #6 (Fishing, Comfort Station and Boat Rental area) We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early, to stretch and warm up before your run. Dress comfortably and according to the weather.
After our workouts (more so on the weekends), runners are often seen congregating at David's Bagels on Rt. 303 in Valley Cottage, exchanging "war stories" over hot coffee and a bagel.... a nice way to start the day! In previous years, we have had group runs starting at the South Nyack Police Station at the following times:
We have seen a renewal of interest in these runs, but need a club member to reorganize them. If you are interested in participating in and/or organizing group runs in the Nyack area, please contact club president, JC Santa Teresa Below, members of the 6 o'clock group set out for a holiday season morning run. |
