RRR weekly e-news 3/4/07

This week I intentionally kept the e-news in the simplest format possible, so that everyone who hasn't been receiving it could possibly figure out why?

If you were able to open the last 3 weeks emails, you would have noticed the change to a newsletter format. Numerous people conveyed how wonderful the new look was. It looks professional and beautiful and had great information and excellent pictures were some of the comments. Unfortunately, there were several members who also reported that they didn't get anything, or were unable to read it.

There are 2 reasons why you may not have gotten the email:
1. Your email provider may have filtered out the document as spam.
I do get error reports for the emails that didn't go through, but there isn't anything I can do to fix it from my end.

2. Your computer or the email software you are using isn't sophisticated enough to open the file. It is a large file in JPEG format.

We have come up with a solution that should solve most of the problems.

The format of the weekly emails will be changed. It may take a few weeks to get it done but please be patient, the end result will make the information available on the website!
The weekly email will replace the news section of the website, which has quite frankly become old news...especially once the emails are read.

We are also considering doing the same to the weekly workouts, or we may try to incorporate a calender or message board in the group runs section of the website.

We are also going to add a community section to the site...where are charitable works and community involvement will be showcased.

The weekly newsletter will eventually be posted to the RRR website but, I will continue to send an email alerting members that the weekly news is hot off the presses.

Thanks to RRR web master Frank Dickinson for his input on creating solutions for these problems.

We hope to have this done very soon. I will, of course, send an email to alert you when these changes are in place.

Hopefully I will see you at the meeting on Tuesday and the
Inter-club Challenge next Sunday.
Until then.....keep running!
Laura
