Text Box: Battling for the lead!

My name is Michael DiMarino, perhaps you know my mom. My kindergarten class really wants to win the Box Tops
for Education contest that my school (New City Elementary) is conducting. Putting it simply, the class that collects the
most Box Tops wins an Ice Cream party. They also mentioned something about raising money for the school, I guess
that’s good too. My teacher Ms. Bray loves ice cream and we want to win the party for her. We have one problem, a second grade class, has a mom that has access to box tops through work. This may seem unfair but we will not go down without a fight. When the going gets tough the tough get going. If you want to help, please clip and save the Box Tops proofs...it looks like the sample mom provided above. Mail them to me, Michael DiMarino, 32 Cragmere Oval, New City, NY 10956. My class mate Samantha Pollak and I are both RRR members and although we are small we are fiercely competitive and really want to win despite the disadvantage. The contest ends May 31st!

Your contributions and support are appreciated. Your friend Michael.

For more info on Box Tops visit their website: http://www.boxtops4education.com/AboutBoxTops/Products.aspx

Thanks, Michael DiMarino

NYRR Healthy Kidney 10K
Saturday, May 19th 2007, Central Park

This is a busy weekend for Team RRR with the Healthy Kidney 10K and Marisa Fund 10K on the same weekend. My suggestion is to compete at one and enjoy the other as a fun run. Please see the NYRR website to register. Contact Ernie if you plan on carpooling.

Rockland Road Runners had a few mom’s celebrate their day in Central Park enjoying a brisk  women’s only 10 miler.  There were 2  trophy winners and a third place showing by our team of exactly five lady members.  Carol Guzinski heated up the course placing 4th overall and winning the 40 to 45 age group.  Josephine Patten continues to add to her trophy shelf with a second place showing at this event in the 50– 55 division. Shelly Shrem continues her comeback with another great race, she was the third runner for the third place RRR women’s team. Heidi Lappi and Eileen Wanamaker rounded out the squad.

The 4 miler was also well represented. Go team RRR!
