Text Box: Mike Nusblat Places 2nd in the 50-55 AG at Yonkers Marathon! The Yonkers Marathon is the second oldest Marathon in the Country and there are a bunch of runners who brave the hilly course each year to insure its continued success. One of these diehards is Rockland Road Runners very own Mike Nusblat. Known by his running buddies as “Marathon Mike” for his intrepid quest to do 7 marathons in 2007! Vermont, Boston, Long Island, Yonkers, Steamtown, NY and Philadelphia. Not only is he doing them he is doing them well, picking Up hardware at this brutally hilly race. Congrats Mike! Mike Bleyser Dentist extraordinaire, drilled out a 22 mile workout during the marathon. He enjoyed the company on the long run that otherwise might have been quite lonely, looping the lake. The beautiful weather and cheering fans (Ernie and Laura) kept the runners motivated. Member Bill Roland was also spotted on the course participating. Text Box: Group /Track Workouts this week! Saturday - November 17th Proceeds will go to the purchase of Digital Mammography Equipment. 1 in 8 women will get breast cancer, early and accurate diagnosis is paramount in fighting this disease. Lets make sure Rockland County has state of the art equipment to assure the best prognosis for our friends and neighbors. HOW CAN YOU HELP! Volunteer, Participate and form a fundraising team.
