Text Box: Elections 2008

Elections are this January and there are positions that will be vacant and need to be filled. Secretary
and Treasurer terms are over and need solid candidates to fill those rolls. President and Vice President
positions terms are also up for election and although Laura and Ernie plan on seeking a second term
that doesn’t mean you can’t run against them.
Advertising Director is not seeking an additional term and a shuffle among existing board members
could result in positions opening up.

If you are even vaguely interested in becoming part of the RRR board feel free to contact
one of the election committee members. We can use additional help and would love for you to step up and participate in the development
and continued success of RRR and its programs. Talk to Ernest Joseph or any Board member if you are interested or just curious about
what you could offer. Ernest is the election committee coordinator, you can contact him or any of the board members for additional
information.

Thanks to Ernest for working his magic and getting 30 members elite starts and the special competitive waiting area. These members will get to experience the red carpet treatment. There is nothing like being the first of 40,000 lead out on the bridge, when you turn around and see 40,000 people behind you words cannot describe the feeling. Its good up front.

20 Rockland Road Runner members will take a view from the sidelines as course marshals and volunteers at this historic event. Central Park will be the place to be this Saturday...especially if you like fast men.

Text Box: After the Leaves Have Fallen - Josh Feldt Memorial Run
This 20 K trail run is personally endorsed by RRR member Steve “trailsman” Ozer. He states that “This is a beautiful area and they are carriage trails so they can be run without much difficulty. The $10 entry fee which Steve S. will use to help fund the Cross Country team is a bargain.” if you aren’t partaking in the Central Park activities this weekend, perhaps this event is something you’d be interested in—http://www.sullivanstriders.org/afterleaves_sh07.pdf
