Text Box: Sheila Casey wins Nyack Hospital 10K

This girl is on fire. Just 2 weeks after her amazing 3:08 in the NYC Marathon Sheila Casey cranks out another impressive race, winning the overall women’s trophy at the Nyack Hospital 10K in 41:01. Kevin Dolan RRR member and Clarkstown North student was the top RRR finisher in 40:07. Debbie and Shaun Fredericks were the overall winners in the walk division.

Rockland Road Runners collaborated this year and made the Nyack Hospital 10 K one of its signature events. Laura DiMarino, Ernest Joseph and Cheryl Langus teamed up with the committee from Nyack Hospital Foundation to assure that a top notch event was planned. With 320 Runners/Walkers participating we will all agree that the collaboration was a success. We look forward to continued growth of this event and a continued partnership with the Nyack Hospital Foundation.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to Olga Carriel for hosting an after race brunch for the volunteers and a few lucky RRR participants, who dined on croissants, bacon, eggs, mimosas and an assortment of other breakfast fancies. She certainly knows how to feed a bunch of hungry runners and we appreciate her generosity.

Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, Amy Stern, Mike Nusblat, Gokhan Ozuner, John Quigley, Vicky, Diane Wannamaker, Kate Devine, Claire Devine, Jerry Sun, Evan Glueck, Roy Altman, Heidi Lappi, Laurel Brown, Olga Carriel, Katie Oppenheimer, Jim Dangler for their help manning the course. We have already received numerous emails stating that these volunteers not only made sure the runners were safe, but cheered them on whole heartedly. Ed Howard I did not forget you, your multi tasking photographing the event and manning the course as well, was greatly appreciated. Thanks to you all!

Special Thanks to Ernest Joseph and Cheryl Langus for their dedication you guys put the ROCK in Rockland Road Runners!

Text Box: Turkey Trot is here.
	We're still signing up volunteers!
We are still signing up people to volunteer for a race-day assignment, if you are available to volunteer please e-mail Mike at Grecland@cs.com and advise him of your assignment preference if you have one. You will receive a response email confirming your assignment.
On line Registration has closed!
Pre-Registration will take place at the Sports Authority this Tuesday, 11/21 or Wednesday 11/22. (2nd Floor) Palisades Mall between 12 noon - 8 pm.
There is Race day registration, but we encourage you to register in advance at the Sports Authority to avoid lines on race day. Registering before race day is also helpful to the volunteers who will be very busy. We are expecting close to 1,500 participants. Important reminder - Turkey Trot Commemorative shirts will not be given to individuals registering on race day.
If you registered already - we encourage you to pick up your number, t-shirt and race packet at the Sports Authority Preregistration. This makes things a little easier for you and our volunteers. Besides, you can sleep a little longer on Thanksgiving morning, avoid the lines and arrive well rested for the races!
Don't forget to bring nonperishable foods for our Thanksgiving Day Food drive. All food collected at the race will be given to People to People helping needy families throughout Rockland County.
This year's official starter is none other than Daniel Rodriguez "America's Beloved Tenor", formerly known as "NYPD's Singing Policeman." You won't want to miss his truly gifted and inspirational voice at the start of the race!
Post-Race gathering at Kennelly's Grille House, Kennelly's is once again graciously opening their doors at 9:30 am so you can warm up and continue the Thanksgiving festivities after the race.  Kennelly's is conveniently located on Route 9W across the street from Rockland Lake.
