Race Start: Rockland Lake State Park, Parking Field #1
DirectionsFrom Westchester and NYC via NYS Thruway: Cross Tappan Zee Bridge and take Exit 11. Go straight to traffic light. Turn left at light onto Rte. 9W north. Go 4 miles to park on the right. Take second (north) entrance into park.
From New Jersey via Garden State Parkway: From NJ, take the GSP north to NYS Thruway South toward Tappan Zee Bridge. Take exit 11. Make a left at end of ramp onto Rte. 59 east. Continue to first traffic light (Rte. 9W north). Make left turn. Park is 4 miles on the right. Take second (north) entrance into park. From Upstate NY: NYS Thruway South toward Tappan Zee Bridge. Take exit 11. Make a left at end of ramp onto Rte. 59 east. Continue to first traffic light (Rte. 9W north). Make left turn. Park is 4 miles on the right. Take second (north) entrance into park. From George Washington Bridge: Stay in the right lane of the bridge and get on the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Take parkway north to exit 4. Take Rte. 9W north for 12 miles to park on the right. Take second (north) entrance into park. To use Mapquest - click here, it will bring you to the intersection of N. Route 9W and Lake Road in Congers (North entrance to Rockland Lake State Park) on the map. Then click "directions to" and enter your starting point. Directions to Packet Pickup From the south: Take the Palisades Parkway North to exit 8W (Route 59 West). *Go short distance on Rt. 59 and bear right onto Route 304 North. Go 2.8 mi. and turn right on Johnsons Lane to #9. From the north: Take the Palisades Parkway South to exit 8W (Route 59 West). *Proceed as above. From Westchester: Tappan Zee Bridge to NY Thruway exit 13S (Palisades Parkway South) to Exit 8W. *Proceed as above. From New Jersey: Garden State Parkway north to NY Thruway south (toward Tappan Zee Bridge). NY Thruway exit 13S (Palisades Parkway South) to Exit 8W. *Proceed as above.
